Q: Can this stream music and phone call to my hearing aids?
No, SPERO is unable to stream audio from your smartphone. The bluetooth connectivity is only meant to use with the app for programming and controlling your hearing aids.
Q: How do I care for my hearing aid?
Moisture can cause corrosion on the hearing aids so make sure to keep them dry. You may store them in a container with silica gel or in an electronic drying box, if available. Fully open your battery door at night to save the battery and avoid leakage.
Regular cleaning of your hearing aids is very important for your personal hygiene and to avoid sound blockage. Apply your hair product or hair spray first before wearing your hearing aids.
Q: Why is there whistling/ feedback from my hearing aids?
1. Earwax build-up and blockage
When there is excessive earwax, the sound cannot be transmitted through your ear canal and consequently will bounce back into your hearing aid causing a whistling sound. Have your ears professionally checked and treated for impacted earwax. Do not use cotton buds to remove it.
2. Improper wearing of hearing aids
Wearing your hearing aids too loosely can cause feedback. Make sure that the dome is inserted properly in your ear canal. You may take out the hearing aids and wear them again. You may also try to reposition the dome or insert it deeper into your ear.
3. Dome is too small for your ears
There is a possibility of sound leaking out of your ears when the domes are too small for you. Switch to a bigger dome that is provided in your ReLife kit. Alternatively, you may also have a custom ear mould done in your local area.
4. Broken slim tube/ tubing
Check for split or hole which may be an opening for sounds to leak out. Due to wear and tear, slim tube and tubing may deteriorate overtime and need replacing.
5. Volume is too high
Turning up the volume too high may force the sound to be redirected back to your hearing aids. Simply turn down the volume and avoid turning it up beyond a certain point.
Q: What should I know about my batteries?
SPERO uses size 13 Zinc Air batteries. One battery can last for 1-2 weeks depending on usage. It is important to keep your batteries sealed until you are ready to use them. Once you remove the protection foil, they will start to lose power. Replacing the sticker does not deactivate the battery. When your battery is running low, the hearing aid will prompt you with a warning signal.
Q: How can I get used to my hearing aids?
1. Gradually build up your wearing time - You may start wearing your hearing aids for a few hours each day and gradually increase it depending on your own comfort.
2. Read aloud to yourself - It is normal to feel that your voice sounds different when wearing hearing aids. Reading aloud to yourself will help you to get used to your own voice.
3. Start in a quiet room - Start off by wearing your hearing aids at home where it is generally quiet. When you feel ready, you can wear them outside or in busier situations where there are more noise.
4. Recognize the factors that affect what you hear - Room acoustics, distance from the speaker, how clearly people speak, and the speech-to-noise ratio all have an impact on what you hear.
5. Make it a habit - Practice wearing your hearing aids and be consistent. Before you know it, they will feel like second nature to you.
Q: My hearings aids have no sound, what should I do?
1. Replace the batteries
2. Make sure your ears are clear of earwax.
3. Check your hearing aid’s tube, domes and microphone ports for any blockages.
4. Ensure that the device is switched on and the battery door is fully closed.

I bought a pair of the Bluetooth digital hearing aids from ReLife. They work fantastic well, and the phone app which can be downloaded is great. The app is a bit tricky to use, but once I got used to it, it works very well. The hearing aids is a quality product, I have been using them for around a week and they work very well and the quality seems to be very good. The price is very good, and well worth the buy. My dad has put off purchasing hearing aids because he refuses to spend thousands of dollars on it. I bought these for him because it’s becoming more difficult to talk to him without having to raise my voice. As soon as we finished setting it up, his face lit up and his voice became much softer. It is such a joy to see him engage in conversations again.
I am not tech-savvy at all but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It took me about 3 minutes to do the hearing test on the app. I have moderate hearing loss and I found that I’m most comfortable in Program 2 which is the Restaurant mode. I love that it auto saves the last volume and program that I was in so I did not have to adjust them again and again.
These devices are really high performance. I have hearing problems for many years and I am only 51 years old but this is the first time I buy devices with a very nice sound and with a very practical application. Quality is at the rendezvous.
